Tom Petty publica una antología con una introducción del director Cameron Crowe.

Con el título de 'Anthology: through the years' serán 34 canciones en un doble álbum que repasará lo mejor de la trayectoria de Petty, desde sus inicios en 1981, hasta hoy, y que saldrá publicado el 30 de octubre.

La antología ofrece dos curiosidades: una canción inédita titulada 'Surrender', y una versión en directo del tema 'So you want to be a rock 'n' roll star' de The Byrds.

El director Cameron Crowe, que fue crítico musical de la revista Rolling Stone, ha escrito para la ocasión una introducción a la figura de Petty.
