Entre 1970 y 1975 fue el líder del conjunto Faces junto a Ron Wood y Ronnie Lane, y destacó por los temas 'Stay with me' (71) y 'Cindy Incidentally' (73). En el álbum 'When we were the new boys' versionó temas de década de los noventa como 'Cigarrettes & alcohol' de Oasis o 'Rocks' de Primal Scream.
